Vision & Values

Our school vision and values were created in consultation with children, parents, staff and governors in January 2023.  Our vision and values underpin everything we do in school: the curriculum, wider opportunities, assemblies, and how staff and pupils interact with each other.

We strive for all children to:

  • Be a curious, motivated learner.
  • Be independent and embrace challenges.
  • Be respectful and responsible citizens of the world.
  • Be healthy and positive in mind and body.
  • BE GRANGE FARM.

We have three school values: Respect, Resilience and Responsibility. We believe that these values are important for all children to develop in order for them to become successful individuals both during their time at Grange Farm and beyond.

We expect all members of the school community to model these values to the children and our behaviour curriculum supports the children to develop these values throughout their time at Grange Farm.

Awards

Awards assemblies are held weekly where children who have displayed the school values are recognised and celebrated. They are awarded a certificate for either a 'Star Learner' or 'Values Superstar'.

The Governor's Awards are a new initiative brought in this year. At the end of each school term, each teacher will nominate a child in their class who has consistently shown one of our school values, respect, responsibility and resilience, throughout that term. They will receive a trophy and a certificate from a Governor during the assembly.  There will also be two additional children nominated who have school all three values consistently. These children will receive a certificate and badge as our 'Values Ambassadors' from the Governors during assembly.
Parents of children who are nominated for the Governor awards, are invited in to see them receive it but we ask them to keep it secret so it is a surprise for their child.
